The following discounts are available for camp. Please note that if your child is eligible for multiple discounts, the discount amount cannot exceed $75 for the entire summer. These discounts do not apply for Day Camp.

CSI (Creation Stewardship Investigators)

Come and experience, explore, and wonder at God’s creation in the beautiful, natural environment of the Calvin Center. Prepare to be amazed as you investigate and explore Calvin Center’s fresh water ecology, hard wood forests, and the wonder of decomposers while discovering more about yourself, the environment around you, and the One who created it all. And of course there will be all the usual activities of camp- swimming, Bible Study, crafts and much more. So much fun and learning packed into one week!

Music, Arts, Drama and Dance Camp (M.A.D.D.)

If you love to sing, dance, play an instrument, act, compose, write, or just be silly, M.A.D.D. camp is the perfect place for you! Throughout the week, you will learn how to use your creativity in new and different ways during daily sessions with our Creative Arts Specialist. You will have the chance to perform for the entire camp during morning vespers and evening worship. By the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to show what you have learned as you perform a dramatic presentation written, directed, and performed by you and your fellow campers! M.A.D.D. camp is a chance to work, play, learn, and grow together in your faith, while also enjoying all the other fun activities of camp.

Day Camp

Get ready for all day, Big Camp Fun! Daily activities include: swimming, games, crafts, Bible Study, lake toys, kayaking, canoeing and more. Daily drop off is at 8:00 am; pickup is at 5:00 pm. With Pre and Post care available. On Thursday evening we invite you to sleepover and be involved in the regular evening camp experience. A great ‘beginners’ experience of what camp has to offer. Lunch and afternoon snack is included.

Fun & Fellowship

Spend a week making new friends, trying new things, and journeying with God. Campers will have fun on our high ropes and team challenge courses, spending a night camping offsite, and doing all those great Camp Calvin activities. There will be fellowship in worship and Bible Study, around the campfire and meal table, and in the cabins with fellow campers.

"Elevation" - Mid High Conference

A week of Elevation will lift your spirit! Dynamic speakers, awesome praise music, and energizing small group experiences will challenge your faith in new ways. Senior High Leadership (SHL)

The Senior High Leadership program has three stages with increasing levels of responsibility, which are best completed in order. All three levels allow you to grow in leadership skills through training and hands-on experiences while making new friends and having a lot of fun!

SHL Level One:
Servant and Leadership Training (SALT)

Completed Grades 9-11

Put your faith into action by learning how to serve God by serving others! SALT’S do a little of everything-- from assisting at the pool and in the kitchen, to leading energizers and helping to lead in worship. You will be part of the daily tasks of camp. SALT is an introduction to serving campers and learning to serve God. Get ready to have fun and serve God!

SHL Level Two: LEADS

The Leads program goes a step beyond SALT, providing more leadership training and more responsibility for helping to plan and lead programmatic activities. Leads will continue to have involvement with the campers. Being a Lead is an excellent opportunity for youth to step out into faith, to try new things, and to grow in responsibility, and display servant leadership in a supportive, Christian environment.

SHL Level Three: Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T.)

Here is your opportunity to learn the roles and responsibilities of being a camp counselor. As a CIT you will live in a cabin with your lead counselor and a family group of campers. You will receive leadership training, support and feedback, while working with an assigned camp counselor. (Open to individuals who have completed the Calvin Leads Program, or a similar leadership program of another camp.)

Ages 3 and up

This camp promises to be the most meaningful 3 days and 2 nights that you’ll spend with your child all year long! Parents, relatives and/or grandparents and their children will grow in God’s Word as together they explore the Bible, enjoy the beauty of Calvin Center and experience all the fun that camp has to offer.

Day and Overnight Camp for Youth and Adults with Special Needs

We are excited to invite you to be a part of our embracing summer camp community. Along with participating in regular daily activities like swimming, pottery, and canoeing, participants will be introduced to, or continue in therapeutic horseback riding. A high ratio of staff and volunteers who have been trained to work with people with special needs help ensure a safe and rewarding experience. Enjoy the overnight experience or go home each night. Horse Camps

Horse Camp

Completed Grades 3-11

With over 500 acres, there’s a lot of ground to cover. The friendly, trained, safety-focused, Calvin Center Equestrian staff will help campers learn how to care for and saddle their horse, and how to ride using the secure seat method. Campers will enjoy riding on trails, in an arena, and even completing an obstacle course. Horse camp is open to riders of all levels and campers will be placed in groups based on experience. Returning riders are welcome and will always find something new and different. In addition to daily rides, horse campers will get to enjoy other camp activities including; worship and Bible study, archery, canoeing, the Team Challenge course, pottery, cookouts and more.

Extreme Trail Camp

Looking for an adventure on horseback? Extreme Trail Camp will take you on a longer trail ride, to parts of Calvin Center you might not have discovered before. On one of your nights you will camp out in a tent with you horse tethered close by. You will develop a strong bond with your fellow campers as you cook out over a campfire, share times of Bible Study and worship together, as well as learning to further appreciate God’s creation. This will be one trail ride you’ll never forget!

Looking for an extra special Day Camp experience? This is a great introduction to the wonderful world of horses or an opportunity for experienced riders to spend some time refining skills. Spend all day, every day at the barn! Riders will be split into groups based on experience level. Learn about horse care from the vet and farrier, do horse related crafts, ride in the arena and on trails and even enjoy Bible study on horseback!

MWC / Global Village

Completed Grades 9-12

How can you expand your world view and help those in need in your own community all in one week? Global Village allows groups to get a taste of life in third world conditions through experience and simulations to see how important the simple parts of life are and how we can often take them for granted. Mission Work Camp uses reconstruction projects to help groups show local homeowners the love of Jesus Christ. This week long immersion allows groups to grow together while learning, working and experiencing God in new ways.

Want a different summer camp experience? While keeping all the exciting summer camp activities. Then come join in the blended mission experience of Global Village and Mission Work Camp. Spend half your week at Global Village immersed in the life and faith of the developing world then take that awareness out to the community and become the hands and feet of Christ in home repair projects for some very worthy homeowners.
