In these specialty camps you will have the chance to develop a specific set of skills of the course of your time at camp while you still participate in all those other great camp activities.

Curriculum

Bible Study and Worship are a central part of the Summer Camp programs at Calvin Center. Each day campers will focus on a theme in Bible Study and worship, led by a chaplain, which is then reinforced throughout the day in other activities.

Crafts

Our Crafts director provides exciting hands-on projects daily that camper will be able to take home at the end of the week.

Staff

Our staff is an important part of providing you with a fun, safe, and faith-filled camp experience. All summer staff members are carefully screened and extensively trained to meet the needs of your camper. Your care is of the utmost importance so all staff are certified by the American Red Cross in First Aid and CPR. In addition to this, certified lifeguards watch over you during Waterfront activities such as swimming and canoeing, and Calvin Center provides certified and trained staff for all adventure and equestrian activities.

Housing Information

In the past few years Calvin Center has spent considerable time and capital building and renovating our accommodations. This has enabled us to offer a complete range of accommodations from cabins with fans, to fully heated and air conditioned housing. Every cabin has its own internal bathroom and a number of cabins have disability access. Each cabin sleeps no more than 8 people and meet ACA regulation. This allows us to have an 8:1 ratio of campers to counselor. Our newest cabins are less than five years old.
